Standards & Codes

KBR provides access to industry codes and standards through two main service providers—Accuris (formerly IHS) and Intertek (formerly SAI Global)—plus direct access to selected publishers. Each provider has different registration procedures, access requirements and licensing terms.

Caution

Standards available in each office and construction site have been customised to include only those standards anticipated to be required during the contract interval (November 2024 through October 2025).

Which provider has the standards you need?

Use this table to determine which provider supplies the standards you require:

Tip

Many ISO standards are available through Standards Australia (AS) via Intertek or British Standards Institute (BSI) via Accuris if they have adopted the ISO standards and they are part of the subscription.

Accessing Accuris standards

1. Verify the standard is available through Accuris: Check the provider table above to confirm your required standard is supplied by Accuris.

2. Register as a first-time user: Refer to the Accuris Registration Info for directions on how to register

3. Select your licensed location: When accessing Accuris, choose your location.

4. Access the standards you need: Navigate to the required standards using the Accuris interface.

5. Log off when finished: Always log off after completing your work, as concurrent user numbers are limited.

Accessing Intertek standards

Accessing standards via direct access

Several publishers provide direct access to their standards for all KBR employees. Registration requirements vary by provider.

All KBR users can access DNV free contents. Subscribed DNV contents require registration.

When standards aren’t available

Standards without a history of frequent use are not included in online subscriptions. When additional standards are required for project or proposal needs, they must be purchased in the required format:

• Single paper or digital copy
• Multiple user copies
